GLBH 568 SP20 FUND OF GLOBAL HLTH & DEV III (40183)
This three-course series is designed and focused on the knowledge foundation necessary for global public health practitioners to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate health programs serving vulnerable populations in resource-scarce communities worldwide. At LLUSPH, our focus is on global health as integral to transformational global development. Thus, the three courses incorporate global development issues, resources, organizations, and strategies.
In GLBH 568 students study the non-governmental, bilateral, UN and multi-lateral organizations involved in global health and how interventions and programs are financed. The course incorporates professional career development activities. The culminating activity of the year is preparation of a complex funding application for the students’ countries of study, modeled on The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, or similar global health grant program
